This week’s Ringing World contains a letter telling of an accident that befell a ringer when the drawstring of her clothing caught in the rope.  As I now sell clothing with drawstrings on behalf of the Guild – the hoodie and zipped hoodie in the centenary clothing collection – I feel that I must remind all ringers and tutors to ensure that any loose items of clothing are carefully tucked away before pulling off to ring.  Do not let this cautionary tale stop you from buying these garments from us as they are very warm and ideal for cold belfries – just please take care!
