Saturday 26th February was a fairly chilly day but it didn’t stop a group of 29 ringers gathering in the Towcester Branch for a well-conceived training session.  It used three towers and split the ringers into two groups with interaction between the groups provided by a joint coffee break and the traditional post-ringing session in the pub for lunch.

One group started at Gayton and then moved onto Pattishall.  They rang Little Bob, Kent, Cambridge, Annable’s London and 6-spliced Surprise Minor.

The other, larger group started at Pattishall but split into two parts – one concentrating on Plain Hunt, the other on All Saint’s Doubles, alternating between practical ringing and a theory session.  After the coffee break, they moved onto Cold Higham for more practise.

Congratulations should go to the learners who all seemed to get really engaged with the process, and to the leaders Chris and Margaret Bulleid and Richard Allton.
