Saturday 8^th October 2022 saw two new training sessions take place for the Guild.  In the morning at Rothwell, five people were taken through a varied session on Intermediate Bell Maintenance, covering belfry inspections, changing ropes and stays, rope splicing and other miscellaneous activities that a steeple keeper might need to deal with.

In the evening 12 ringers met at Caldecott for a Plain Bob Practice.  Although numbers were low, this was good for the learners as they each got several turns at ringing their choice of Plain Bob Doubles or Minor, plain course or touch, with an experienced band around them and someone to direct them if necessary.  A visit to the local pub was an optional, but enjoyable, follow-up!

We also carried out the October 100 Club draw during the evening.  The winners were Rhys Skillman, Cathy Mason and Margaret Bulleid.  Congratulations to them – cheques will be in the post.
