Rung in memory of Private Thomas Richard Earl, a ringer at this tower, who was killed in action on 4th May 1917 near Arras, France, whilst serving with the 2nd Battalion of the Warwickshire Regiment and who is remembered on the Arras Memorial. Their name liveth for evermore.
