Revd Michael Haighton joined the Guild in 2003 through the Daventry Branch.  He retired on ill health grounds as a minister of the free church and moved to Rugby with Barbara who was his carer (who he soon married).  He first came to a branch meeting at Barby in November 2002 and ever since has been a strong supporter of the branch and has taken very many of our services and played the organ (sometimes both).  He learned to ring in Cheshire and has rung in Norfolk, Lincoln and Devon during his ministries.

He has contributed the Thought for the Week to the Ringing World during this time and was a member of the Clerical Guild.
