Rung in memory of Private Harry Percy Knighton, Northamptonshire Regiment, who was killed in action on 2nd October 1915 at Gallipoli. He is buried in 7th Field Ambulance Cemetery, Turkey, and Private Bernard Charles Loveday, Cheshire Regiment, who was killed in action on 27th March 1918 in France during the German Spring offensive. He is commemorated on the Pozieres Memorial, France. Both were ringers at this tower.
